When I read the title, I laughed. Back in the late nineties and early 2000's I would go to a place called Have A Nice Day Cafe. I would take to the stage before anyone else had arrived and start dancing, at times a half hour or so before anyone showed up. It was my chance to cut loose and burn calories.
I know you are using "dancing" as a metaphor here, but I still had to respond.
In reality, fear of the unknown has controlled me most of my life. It arrested my development and so now here I am in my fifties learning things that twenty somethings probably already know. I didn't do myself any favors by deferring responsibility.
😂 sounds like a great time. An excellent and fun way to stay in shape. When used literally, I feel people don't dance like they used to either, everyone's so afraid of other people judging them. But I hope I'm mistaken and maybe just caught by my personal experiences.
Fear of the unknown is a powerful motivator and an easy one to rely on. As well as the most readily accepted one in our society. I think it's awesome you're still learning at an age when most people appear to believe they're done with any forms of education. I feel like when you stop learning, you stop living haha
It is/was an excellent way to stay in shape. I still have dreams about the club from time to time, but it, along with a good portion of Buckhead, Georgia , closed around 2003 because of crime.
