What's Wrong With the US
A culture of colonization and violence must lead to retardation of emotional intelligence.
Having grown up in schools with >90% white people and suffering from racist bullying, while having great friendships with white people, and being accepted by white people who defended the confederate flag, I have a theory….
I think that white culture is one of mental retardation when it comes to emotional intelligence.
And because the US is based on white culture, despite it using African American culture, Hispanic cultures, Indian cultures, and native American cultures as vehicles for profit, rather than truly appreciating these cultures, then people of all races, sexes, and creeds within the US and its overarching white culture also suffer from mental retardation of emotional intelligence, to varying degrees based on the quality of childhood environments they developed in. Which accounts for factors such as poverty level, proximity to resources, etc.
I had to find a theory to reconcile my personal experience with my historical and current knowledge of white supremacy. Not to mention that capitalism also encourages the retardation of emotional intelligence, especially the win at all costs, profit over people version employed in the US. And for that matter, the whole of Western Europe as well.
We can quibble about the varying degrees of difference between the US and say, the UK (simply a representative of Western European and other colonial powers) but there's no doubt that white culture and it's bedfellow white supremacy has been normalized worldwide due to the last 500 years of Western European colonization.
So ultimately I feel bad for white people because they are born into a culture that mentally retards their emotional development and undermines their humanity. I feel bad for all the countries white people have colonized and infected with this inferior understanding of life. So basically I feel bad for the EARTH 🤣🤣🤣
But I believe people can be healed of this inferior way of being, provided they actually want to do so. Unfortunately, doesn't seem like many people actually want to do so 😢🥺ðŸ˜
